POLL: Missouri Girls XC Runner of the Week (Sept. 18-24)

The cross-country is in full swing season and the times across the state are showing that. 

Below are the top girls performances from the past week around Missouri. The winner will be crowned the Missouri Girls Runner of the Week for Sept. 18-24.

Polling starts on Monday, Sept. 25 at 5 p.m. CT and ends on Friday at 12 p.m.

Mariah Denney, Sullivan
She set a new 5K record for the Eagles by running 19:13.3 at the
Gans Creek Classic to take first place in the White Division on Saturday. 

Mya Wray, South Nodaway
The sophomore stayed perfect in 2023 by winning the Duane Kimble Invitational on Sept. 19 at Hyde Park in St. Joseph. It was her third win of the season after running 20:56.30.

Mary McKenzie, Cor Jesu Academy
McKenzie, a sophomore, won her third race of the season - and her fourth was a second-place finish. She won the 27th Annual Ed White Festival of Races on Saturday, running 18:39.90 - a winning margin of 51 seconds.

Kenzleigh Goans, California
In a pair of races last week, she was fifth at the Gans Creek Classic in the White Division on Saturday and took first at the Boonville Cross Country Invitational on Tuesday, running 20:20.55.
