Heavy rain did a number on javelin fields across the state and cancelled meets from east to west last week, but we still have data now from two+ weeks of 2025 track and field. So let's take a look at who has made the biggest jump from 2024 already. Units are listed here in English as opposed to Metric.

Dora's Haley Perkins had made a major surge to the front of the pack this season. She has added over 31 feet to her personal best so far and is tops in Class 1 at the moment, a huge boon for the Class 1 State cross country champions' hopes at adding a State track and field title.

St. Pius X junior Elena Ruble (pictured) is tops among Class 2 throwers as it stands, improving by just over 5 feet so far.
