What would you consider your biggest competition?
My teammates we pushed each other through so many practices
Out of all of your high school accomplishments which stands out the most?
Definitely making a video with my team and being in the nike video challenge
If you could do it all over again what would you change about your running career in high school?
At my High school our wrestling program has the slogan "no regrets" and I believe that in life everything happens for
a reason. So I wouldn't change A thing I worked hard for what i accomplished.
What were the most difficult obstacles you had to overcome?
I would have to say getting mentally prepared before a race or after a bad race when I really needed to focus on what I need to do differently.
What will you miss the most?
My teammates, My coaches, and the friends i have made from other teams.
Do you have any advice for younger athletes?
"The worst disappointment one can feel is disappointment in ones self"-Oprah. To me that quote says it all. Yea your're going to have your ups and downs but when you do get knocked down you have to keep moving forwards. And despite how many people tell you that you cant do something. You have to set a goal to prove them wrong.
What are your college plans?
I will be continuing my running career at Southern Illinois University of Edwardsville. And I will be majoring in secondary education for history.
Who would you like to say thank you to?
There are so many people but I owe a huge thank you to Steve Alden. Steve Alden was my coach and is like a father to me. He drove his sons and I everywhere he could for practice, he helped me through the college process, and will always hold a big place in my heart. To my teammates you guys are the craziest guys i know and i wish all of you the best of luck this upcoming season, (maybe will larp sometime). My family who always supported me and bought my shoes haha. And all of my friends and fans thank you for believing me through my career. And to my dad who passed away I hope you're proud of everything I have and will accomplish, you were my biggest inspiration and fan I love you.
