On Saturday, September 18, 2010 Cape Girardeau Central High School will hold its annual Cross Country Invitational Meet at Central High School1000 South Silver Springs Road
TIME:
9:30 AM Coaches Meeting
10:00 AM Jr High Boys & Girls (UNLIMITED)
10:30 AM Girls JV (UNLIMITED)
11:00 AM Boys JV (UNLIMITED)
11:30 AM Girls Varsity (TOP 7 RUNNERS)
12:00 PM Boys Varsity (TOP 7 RUNNERS)
LOCATION: If coming from either North or South of Cape, take Exit 95, make a right onto Hwy 74. At the 1st stoplight, make a right onto Mt. Auburn Road. Follow past 4 way stopmake a right onto the blacktop road just past the tennis courts. If coming from Illinois, cross the bridge and at the 1st stoplight make a left onto Sprigg Street. Go 2 blocks and make a right onto Hwy 74. Travel on 74 through 3 stoplights until you come to Mt. Auburn. Make a left onto Mt. Auburnfollow this going through the 4 way stop. Turn right onto the blacktop road just past the tennis courts.
DISTANCE: ALL races 5K except Jr. High Boys/Girls, approx. 1.5 miles
AWARDS: Varsity Boys & Girls (2 Team trophies and 40 Individual medals 20 Boys, 20 Girls); Junior Varsity Boys & Girls (1 Team trophy and 40 individual Medals20 Boys, 20 Girls); Junior High (1 Team trophy, 30 medals-15 Boys, 15 Girls)
ENTRY FEE: $90.00 per school
SANCTIONS: MSHSAA, Interstate KY, IL, & TN
Please Fax (573-335-3843) this sheet with your schools name circled on it and write on it somewhere WE WILL ATTEND, OR WE WILL NOT ATTEND--so we will have an idea of who is coming or not. This year, we will be entering online at http://mo.milesplit.us, click on Calendar and then Cape Invitational Entry.
Entries are due by September 15, 2010. If you have never registered for a race through this system before you will need to get a user name which will take up to two days so please start the process early enough.
