2. Victor Mugeche - Blue Springs - SR: Lucky for Mugeche, he was born one year later than Austin Hindman. A two-time runner up in 2016-17, Mugeche's race plan is one of attack. While others may have allowed themselves to succumb to the beatdown Hindman would soon reign down upon them, Mugeche fought tooth and nail throughout his junior year. He was, by all accounts, one of the top 5 best distance runners in the entire state during his junior year, but now with the throne up for grabs, he is looking to earn the top spot. Whereas we may slot him in at #2 preseason, it's very close and the 2:01/4:18/9:12/15:17 KCMO-er, as we've seen, will not go down without a fight.
