5. Alex Dukes - Mexico - SR: He made his name known with his win in the Gold Division at Forest Park XC Fest, but Alex Dukes did not disappoint after that in only his first cross country season. Dukes returns with the 5th fastest time among returners - 16:05 and he was a big winner in Class 3 District 5, actually edging out our #3 athlete. Alas, though, he was bested by our #3 at the state meet, but still came across in 16:26 for 11th on his first go-around. Dukes turned in a stellar 9:35 for 10th in the famous Class 4 3200 this spring and barely missed a spot in the 1600 after finishing 5th at the sectional meet in 4:30. The Mexico Bulldog now looks like a solid pick for a top 5 finish this November.
