Rivera reclaimed her national lead this weekend, a spot she had previously claimed after throwing 48-2.75 in late December. Her throw of 49-9.25 was good enough to put a foot lead over the second best mark in the US for the year. This also furthered her PR, as she has now further her best prior to this year by two and a half feet. The Big River Indoor Series Meet provided Rivera with solid competition as Kathleen Young (IL) was less than three feet behind Rivera, throwing a US#5 46-11.
