Webb City was a sneaky pick for a podium spot in 2016. But, it just wasn't the Cardinals' day. Ryan Riddle, our Class 4 preseason #1, was 15th, but returned with a vengeance over the spring. His surge on the track has put him in rarefied air - could he break 15:00 this year? Losing Tadd Capron and Grant Miller will hurt, but Cole Cooper and Josh Vabecelaere look ready to assume the position of 2 and 3 for Webb City. They both return with 16:37 and 16:48 bests, respectively. Brady Kuechler will move to #4 with his 17:00. With a weekly single-digit scorer in Riddle, Webb City will need some help from its back end scorers to make the jump back to the state meet in 2017. They've made it each of the past 3 years for 3 of their 4 total trips in school history.
