Graduation took its toll on Nerinx Hall, but even still, they will return a solid group of girls for 2017. Sloane Montgomery is looking to get back to her sub-19:00 ways and will lead the Markers heading into the season. She is on our Watch List (#9). Another Marker who should probably be on the Watch List is Bella Racette, sister of former Nerinx standout Sophia. She is looking to make a big splash this year and holds down a commendable 19:38 PR from Nike Cross Regional. In fact, many of Nerinx's personal bests came from Terre Haute. Anna Green and Allie Brown both bring back experience on the varsity squad for Nerinx, but after that, it's anyone's guess how Coach Quigley fills out his Top 7. It may even include incoming freshman Marie Prindiville who ran 5:27 at the Festival of Miles this summer. Always rich with talent, Nerinx looks poised for a return out of a fairly top-heavy District 3 and never-troublesome Sectional 2. They've made it to Oak Hills each of the last 10 years and were last on the podium not long ago in 2015.
