They may not be the dominant team they used to be just a few years ago, but there may never again come a time where SLU High is not a team that needs to be watched. Graduation has taken 3 of last year's Top 7, but with 4 boys at 17:32 or better, the Jr. Bills have a solid foundation on which to build. We profiled top returners Paul Burka and Patrick Hetlage on our Watch List, but they will lead a historically deep team into battle in 2017. With 75 boys on your roster, it's hard not to find 7 to carry you to the state meet. SLU High has been a fixture at the state meet for the entirety of this author's life (24 years), having not missed a state meet since 1993. They'll look to make trip #40 this year.
