4. Emily Yaeger - Blair Oaks, SR
PR - 2:22.42
Yaeger's second trip to the state meet in the 800 was a successful one as she used a 2:22.42 to take 4th in this event as a junior. She was 13th her sophomore year and had a 2:27 personal best heading into 2017. She was also a 2:27 split on the 3rd place 4x8 and could use that big leap she made at the state meet to be a surprise title contender at state this season.
3. Kate Klott - Bowling Green, JR
PR - 2:21.21
Klott had a huge sophomore year in 2017 as she took 3rd in the 800 (2:21.21), split 2:24 on the state champion 4x8, and took 5th in the 1600 (5:16.84). She has earned three state medals in cross country and took 4th this season so she has experience on the big stage. She was just over a second away last year and will definitely challenge for the gold again this year.
