4. Austin Pankau - Mound City, SR
PR - 2:01.19
In three years of track, Pankau has run only one event: the 800. He has done it 18 times, qualified for two state meets, and even took 6th last spring with his 2:01.19. With little else to go off and only one time under 2:05 besides his personal best, Pankau takes a bit of a slide but will still sit at 4th heading into this spring.
3. Lathyn McMorris - Van-Far, SR
PR - 2:01.64
McMorris has range and has shown that he can be competitive across all 3 distance events. Look no further than his 2:01/4:27/9:57 stat line and you will see a senior who may be itching for medals in all three this spring. McMorris will start out the season at #3 in our rankings, but is a solid bet to move up as the season wears on.
