Sabala is my Class 1 candidate for the distance quad as he enters the season coming off of a dominant cross country season. It ended in his fourth top 7 medal in and first individual state championship. Sabala has not put a lot of focus on the 800, but he has the talent and the chops to avoid another 9th place finish (he was 9th in the 2017 800). Watch for the state XC champ to compete for multiple titles this spring, including the 800.
