There is a steep disparity between our top two girls returners in the discus and the rest of the field. How steep? There is 25 feet between our second and third ranked returners. Green is one of the top discus throwers in state history, but just so happens to have been born in the same year as potentially the best discus thrower in state history. Nevertheless, Green returns with a 151-0 best from last year's state meet, a throw which earned her second, and six total throws better than Brehe in third. Green had a major breakout in her junior campaign and should continue to shine in 2018, but she will have to dig deep to overcome the girl ahead of her.
