2. Tyra Wilson (Rock Bridge)
Like many others around Missouri, I was very intrigued when I saw Tyra's 15.45 in the 100mH last week at the CoMo kickoff. I got to witness the Rock Bridge Freshman's talent first hand at the Holt Varsity Pow Wow on Saturday, and all I can say is WOW. She was able to run a state leading 14.52 in the 100mH (with a tail wind), and defeated Michelle Owens and Aisha Southern, two of the top returners in Class 5 from last year. Later in the meet she came back and won the 300mH with a State leading time of 45.46. If that wasn't enough, she also won the Triple Jump with a 36-8 which is currently the 4th farthest jump in the State. I think we are going to be talking about Tyra Wilson a lot over the next 4 years.
