This race really couldn't be much closer. Jonathon Coffman (Herculaneum) and Mark Venable (Lamar) both come in with season bests of 9:47, and Loki Cortner (Herculaneum) is in striking distance with a season best of 9:52. Look for an incredibly tense run to the finish line in that last 100m.
4x200m Relay
This is going to be a close one. Trinity Catholic comes in with the fastest time at 1:29.59, and they are followed very closely by Cardinal Ritter with a 1:29.67. With a relay that close, this thing very well could come down to handoffs.
Javelin
Javelin looks to be very close as well. There are five boys who have thrown 160+ and really any of them could end up on top. Jonathan Geier (Versailles) has the farthest throw of 167-5, but Tristan Michaelis (Cameron), Elijah Bolin (Mt. Vernon), Josh Henson (Blair Oaks), and Triston Campbell (Central-Park Hills) all have a chance at victory.

Jameson Williams (Cardinal Ritter)
Williams is trying to write his way into the Missouri History Books this weekend. He is seeded 1st in the 100, 200, 400, and 300H coming into the weekend. He really has a good chance at being a 4 event state champion. This is one of the hardest event combo's to do as well, as all of those races have prelims. Making it more difficult is the fact that the 400 and 300H are back to back, and the 200 will only be separated by one gender of 800's. I'll be truly impressed (and we all should be) if manages to pull off the sweep.
Brandon Miller (John Burroughs)
The phenom has worked his way back from an injury that kept him out for the beginning of the season, but he looks to be hitting his stride. He'll look to repeat as State Champion in the 800 and add the 1600 to is list of titles. He'll more than likely go unchallenged in the 800, but it looks like he'll have to battle for that championship in the 1600.

Trey Miller (Clinton)
Trey has been having a killer season. He's currently ranked 1st in the Long Jump with a 23-9.5, 1st in High Jump with a 6-8, and 3rd in Triple Jump with a 45-1. He'll be fun to watch compete in each of his events throughout the weekend.
