Races to Watch:

200

The 200 likely is going to come down to a photo finish. Britney Clark (Webster Groves) has the fastest season best with a 24.88, but is closely followed by Cara Johnson and Jhordin Galmore of MICDS who have both ran 24.91. We likely will be looking at the scoreboard to see who placed what in this race.

4x800m Relay

This race has the potential to be a thriller. Notre Dame (Cape Girardeau) has the fastest time coming in with a 9:45.01, but is closely followed by Washington with a 9:45.95. In addition to those two teams MICDS and Rockwood Summit have ran 9:47 and 9:48 respectively so they both should be up there in the end as well.

Athletes to Watch:

Mikayla Reed (Washington)

The defending State Champion in the both the 1600 & 3200 will look to repeat as champion this year. Her 4:59.31 season best is 10 seconds ahead of second in the 1600, and her 11:12.82 season best in the 3200 is 25 seconds ahead of second, so it might be one of those situations where its not if she wins, but how much she wins by. She's also ranked 1st in the 800 and on the 2nd ranked Washington 4x800.

Zionn Pearson (MICDS)

Pearson owns the farthest Long Jump in Missouri this year with a massive leap of 19-4. That in it of itself should be fun to watch, and she is also ranked third in Triple Jump coming into the weekend with a 38-11.75.
