Ft. Zumwalt South's Morrison voted top Class 4 senior runner

The Mo Mile Split readers picked Ft. Zumwalt South's Sarah Morrison as the top senior cross-country runner in Class 4 this fall. She picked up nearly half of the votes, checking in at 47%.

The other finalists were MICDS' Julia Ray was the runner-up at 28%. Other finalists were Sophia Pelligreen from Clayton, who was third, followed by Webb City's Abigail Street in fourth and Washington's Julia Donnelly was fifth.

Morrison had five top-five finishes this year and won the Terry Meatheany/Hazelwood West Invitational on Oct.. 7 and the Fleet Feet Classic at Parkway Central on Aug. 31. She ended her season by taking 15th at the MSHSAA Class 4 State XC Championship.

Morrison was a three-time state qualifier in cross country and was an all-state twice, taking 22nd at the 2020 meet.
