A lighter week in terms of meets still turned out several stellar performances and statements in important head-to-head matchups. We are ready to vote on who was the top performer of another big weekend of the regular season.
Below are the top boys performances from the past week around Missouri. The winner will be crowned the Missouri Boys Runner of the Week for Week Six.
Congratulations to North Platte's Chloe Heckman on her win in the Week 5 poll! Heckman picked up the win at the Grain Valley Sock it to Cancer Invitational in the small schools division, running 19:40.40. She is now 5 seconds off the mark which earned her 3rd in Class 2 last November, and 8 seconds off her lifetime best. She will move on to the finals during the week of the State Championships, where we will determine who had the top performance of the regular season!

Reese McDevitt - Francis Howell Central - McDevitt was the winner at the Border War XC Championships at the tough North Farms Course at Principia College (IL). She won wire-to-wire while running an impressive 19:01.70 mark.
Elyse Wilmes - Father Tolton Catholic - Wilmes had a strong day at the Kearney Invitational, taking out some of the top girls on the western side of the state and running 19:05.30 on a warm day and fair course.
Natalie Lena - Parkway South - Lena earned the win at the Patriot/Statesmen Classic on Saturday, traversing the course at Blackburn Park in 19:34.70 for the first major invitational win of her career.
Brooke Stephenson - Raymore-Peculiar - Stephenson picked up a runner-up finish at the Billy Mills Classic in Kansas on Saturday in her first sub-20 performance since the 19:30.50 mark she ran to secure all-state honors in 2022. She ran 19:51.60.
