Sinry Mendoza had a heck of a stretch for Hollister between April 22-25.
The Hollister junior set personal bests in three different races between a pair of meets.

A defending state champion in Class 3 last year (3,200-meter run), he posted his best time ever in that race at the Hollister High School Invitational.

He ran 9:17.77, winning that race. Earlier in the week, the Tigers competed at the SBU High School Invite.
He ran a personal best 1:55.11 in the 800 and a personal best of 4:12.79 in the 1600-meter run.
Mendoza was a runner-up in each of those events last year at the MSHSAA Class 3 championships.

This year, he will aim to win gold in all three events - the distance treble, if you will - if he can qualify for state, which will be May 23-24 in Jefferson City.
Mendoza joined MoMileSplit to talk about his personal best times, hopes going into state, and how he juggled being a three-sport student-athlete this year with football and basketball as well.
But it sounds like we may see more of him this fall…
