Several Missouri high school track and field athletes recorded personal bests during meets held March 30-April 3.
Jaylen Thomas (Capital City) ran 11.00 in the 100 meters at the Jeff City/Hannibal/Capital City Tri on March 30, improving from his previous best of 12.14 set in May 2025. The senior's time ranks #40 in Missouri and set a new school record for Capital City High School. Thomas won the event in a field of 64 competitors.
Trinity Edmonds (Ft. Zumwalt South) clocked 12.59 (+4.0) in the 100 meters at the FZE Just One More Meet on March 30, lowering her previous personal record of 13.36. The junior's time places her #32 in the state and #10 among Missouri juniors. Edmonds finished second among 32 competitors.
Kacie Swearingin (Carrollton) cleared 5-4.75 in the high jump at the Concordia Invitational on March 31, bettering her previous mark of 5-1.75 from March 2026. The sophomore's height ranks #25 statewide and established a new Carrollton High School record. Swearingin also recorded a personal best of 15-11.25 in the long jump at the same meet, improving from 15-8.98.
Max Sarino (Orchard Farm) threw 50-0.75 in the shot put at the Robert G. Brunette Invitational on April 2, extending his previous best of 42-2 from May 2025. The senior's mark ranks #36 in Missouri and placed second in a field of 24 competitors.
Lukas Weaver (Clark County) jumped 22-3.5 in the long jump at the Knox County Invitational on March 31, surpassing his previous personal record of 20-2. The junior's distance ranks #9 in the state, #3 among Missouri juniors, and #1 in Class 2. Weaver won the event against 17 competitors.
Alexis Cassimatis (Farmington) ran 11:56.89 in the 3200 meters at the Farmington Quad on April 2, improving from her previous best of 12:22.52 set in September 2025. The junior's time ranks #43 statewide and she won the race in a field of nine runners.
Lily Doran (Rock Bridge) cleared 11-0.25 in the pole vault at the 37th Annual Jock's Nitch/PSU Gorilla Relays on April 3, bettering her previous mark of 10-5.75 from March 2026. The junior's height ranks #8 in Missouri and #1 among juniors. Doran won the event in a field of 16 competitors.
