St. Charles West Girls
St. Charles West returns their top five runners from their ninth place team from last fall. Led by Amy Brown, 20th last year, SCW looks to be one of the better teams headed into the season. Brown and teammate Megan Graves have PR's in the Mid 20's followed by a pack of three girls in the mid 21's. Watch for St. Charles West to use their depth to possibly wind up on the podium this year.
Coach Poindexter says...
"Our girls are looking prepared to compete. Our summer running and weight lifting program was attended by many of the girls. We have 25 girls on the team. We return 5 of our top 7 from our 9th place state team last year. We are led by junior Amy Brown, 20th at state last year. Others runners returning are junior Julia Larson, Sophomores Emma Sullivan, Megan Graves, Jessie Schmidt and Seniors Katy Gardner and Mackenzie White. "
"We are running at First Capital, Forest Park, Hancock and making a trip to Chicago to run in the St Ignatiuos Inviatational. We run a very competitive schedule against many class 4 teams, getting ourselves ready for State."
"Our goals are to win our GAC conference, win districts lost by 4 points last year, and to improve on our team finish at state."
