Flood Carries Liberty to Another Victory

Ryan Flood won his third straight individual title as he led the Liberty Jays to another team title. Coming off of a convincing win at their home meet, Liberty squeaked out a 4 point win at the competitive Raymore-Peculiar Invitational. Park Hill South was second as they continue to improve and hang under the radar while doing it. Flood's 16:19 was his second race under 16:20 and earned him a 13 second victory over Staley's Preston Wheeler who has put together two very good races early on in his junior season. Christian Blake Procell from Nixa was the 3rd Missourian across the line in 16:35. He took 4th.

In the small schools division, it was more of the same from Helias Catholic's boys. The dynamic sophomore duo continued to impress as it was Jenson Starr this time taking the victory with Jack Crull coming in 3rd. Class 1 star Easton Sabala dropped under 17:00 for the second time this season and continues to assert his position as MoMileSplit #1 in Class 1. While Helias's top 2 were 1-3, it was Pleasant Hill who beat them by 3 points for the team title. Pleasant Hill used a 38 1-5 split and 5-6-7-8-10 finishes to eek out the win. Jerod Rottinghaus led the way for them with his 17:26.
