Coming back strong 
After coming in second in the 100-meter hurdles, Potosi senior Anita McCaul won the 300-meter hurdles in 44.31 seconds. She became the first girls track and field champion in school history with the win. 




No look put
Centralia senior Baylee Beard goes long to win the Class 3 Girls Shot Put, with a best toss of 13.50m/44-3.5''. Beard sits 2nd on the All-Class season state performance list with a season's best of 13.64m/44-9''.



Trailblazer
Tolton Catholic freshman Elyse Wilmes sprints around the turn on her way to anchoring the Trailblazers to a 3rd-place heat finish and 5th overall in the 4x400-meter relay preliminaries. Wilmes split 57.83-seconds to help Tolton to a 4:10.94 finish. Wilmes, the Class 3 state cross country champion last November, won the 800-meters earlier in the day and led the Trailblazers to the 4x800 title the following day.
