Rain lightly fell on and off for the first two races of the day but was mostly gone for the Class 3 races. However, chilly temperatures and consistent, strong winds remained. Five St. Charles West Warriors are visible in their maroon and white uniforms, just after and before the mile mark, in about 25th-place on, in the Class 3 Girls race. West totaled just 74 points. St. Charles West's first three runners pictured are Claire Horstmann (#998), Miley Jackson (back left #1000), and Emily Finley (back right #996). The trio placed 16th, 33rd, and 28th, behind top finisher Genevieve Wacker, who was 7th.

Handy Handouts
The Air Force's blue promotional headbands not only matched Summit Christian's uniforms, but helped the Eagles become easily visible to coaches and fans as they ran to a 3rd-place finish in the Class 3 Girls race. The Eagles' Lucie Epema (#1018), Marina Parks (right #1021), and Keyler Quessenberry (back left) race a mile into the 3.1-mile race.

Who Let the Dogs Out?
MSHSAA's no dog policy wasn't fully enforced at the state meet. El Dorado Springs' Audrey Goatley (left #900), Hannah Klaiber (#902), and Colbie Wood (#904) run together in the Class 3 race. The ladies led the Bulldogs to a 6th-place team finish with 187 points, just 12 points back of 4th.
