Class 5 jumpers dominate the top 10 of top returning long jumpers in 2023.
Six of the top ten -- technically 11 with a tie -- are from the state's highest classification led by Hickman's Athena Peterson, who was fifth as a freshman.
Three of the jumpers in the top 10 will be Division I athletes next season.
The only returning champion is Albany's Abigail Troncin, who won the Class 1 title. Hallsville's Kristen Jones (Class 3), Kearney's Ava Lawless (Class 4) and John Burrough's Aaliyah Elliott (Class 5) were all runners-up last year.
