Warrensburg Boys
Warrensburg returns all of their top five from last years state winning team. They went 10-11-13-18. These runners, led by senior J.P. Espinoza, will look to repeat at state champions. All of them have PR's under 17 minutes. If they continue that, they will not only be one of the best teams in Class 3, but the state as a whole. Max and Alex Burson are both in the 16:50's and will look to help their team this win again this year. This team looks strong, especially for Class 3.
Coach Plott Says...
"Boys team returns a great deal of depth. 4 Returning All-Staters head up a group of experienced runners. The guys started summer training season with a short break after a successful Track season, then it was back to our normal pre-season routine. The boys team understands how important each day of training is to the overall success of our team. With the maturity of our core group, they truly hold each other accountable."
"We will start off at the Lees Summit North Invite. (2 mile race) Our schedule also includes the UCM Mule Run and the KC Metro Meet held at Ray-Pec."
"Boys want to return to defend our Class 3 State Championship. We realize with new district assignments coming out that the dynamics will change. We will target our training for late October, early November."
