MO State XC Preview Series: Class 4 Boys and Girls

Boys

Kyle's Crystal Ball

Kyle's Crystal Ball is predictions based on season bests, season averages, head-to-head performances, performance at the Gans Creek Classic, past performances at the State Meet and the intangibles: "who's impressed me the most" and "who's peaking at the right time." These predictions are solely mine and are reflective of no one else in the Missouri MileSplit network's feelings on the race.

Individuals:

15. Gavin Vaughn - Hillsboro

14. Hoyt Stiner - West Plains

13. Ryan Seabaugh - Cape Girardeau Central

12. Cullen Krieg - Festus

11. Nolan Hansen - Willard

10. Cameron Martensen - Rolla

9. Orville Mann - Hillsboro

8. Liam Adair - Smithville

7. Andrew Johnson - Platte County

6. Tate Riney - Festus

5. Evan Stevens - Webb City

4. Jonah Allison - Hillsboro

3. Isaac Rivera - Lincoln College Prep

2. Ian Schram - Festus

1. Josh Allison - Hillsboro

It's Hillsboro's day to shine with Josh Allison taking the top spot on Friday. It'll be a SEMO party in the top 15 with some District 2 and 4 athletes sprinkled in, but ultimately, look for the day to be dominated by the usual suspects.

Teams:

5. Willard

4. Webster Groves

3. West Plains

2. Festus

1. Hillsboro

The Crystal Ball says that through 15th place, Hillsboro will have 28 points and 4 across. Festus has 20 points through 3. So it will come down to Hillsboro's 5 and Festus' 4 and 5. I think Pogue can match whatever Driemeier gives Festus at 4 so it may not be enough for the Tigers to overcome that fearsome Hawk foursome. West Plains will do their thing and earn another state trophy and Webster Groves will show up big to claim 4th. Willard will sneak in for 5th led by Nolan Hansen in 11th.
