With a week plus down in Missouri, several boys who competed in the 3200 last season have already completed a 3200 in 2025. While some are a little off of last year's best, some others have obliterated last year's time already. There are several weeks left in the season and surely much more opportunities to improve across the board.
Lee's Summit's Daniel Lozano is already nearly a minute and a half better than 2024, probably predicated on the fact that he dropped his 5K personal best from 19:22.29 to 16:49.40 this fall.
Francis Howell Central's Samuel Coburn is also over a minute better than last year already. He might be feeling that cross country adaptation as well, though, in his case, he is coming off his first career cross country season.
