I got an email from MSHSAA at 3 o’clock saying they were having technical difficulties with the digital tickets. They said to please be patient and they would send out codes as soon as they could.

Not a fan of this process. I'm buying about half of our tickets for the opposite gender to get in to watch their teammates. There is no easy way to buy 20 tickets quickly.

I thought each athlete was limited to two tickets apiece? How are they handling combined gender programs that share the same coaches? Are they allowing the other gender to stick around and watch, after, or before their gender's race?

Great question. I am the only coach at Valle Catholic and I believe I am supposed to leave my athletes sitting in the parking lot while the other group competes. It makes no sense. These kids spent hours training together now they can't see each other compete.

I purchased tickets for the kids to watch the opposite gender run. However, the boys cannot get into the meet until spectators are allowed to arrive. So, the girls will have to carry everything and set up camp by themselves. Then, the boys will have to leave until their allowable arrival time. And, the girls won't be able to enter the boys' race until spectators are allowed to enter. So, I'm the only coach, and bus parking is at the field house. It's ridiculous. If both teams qualified, both teams should have been allowed to enter at the same time.

How did you purchase extra tickets for those kids? Did you use unneeded administrator codes, alternate codes, etc? Just wondering if there is something I was missing.
Thanks

My AD received our info and ticket codes last night around 8:30pm.

Both teams qualified. We offered tickets to the parents. We had enough tickets left over to purchase them for the opposite gender athletes.

Also, I had 23 tickets to purchase. I had to do them all as separate transactions. I got to 12 and contact Home Town Ticketing. They deleted my old codes and sent me 1 code for the final 11 tickets. What a mess!
And, to get them so late last night when we're leaving today.

Did you have that many parents not attending? Were you able to use Ad and principal codes

We didn't offer them to alternates' parents. Long drive, a Thursday...lots of factors for parents not attending.
