10. Sarah Johnson - Calvary Lutheran (Previous: 8; Change: -2)

9. Nicole Helm - Salisbury (Previous: 7; Change: -2)

8. Julia McIntyre - New Haven (Previous: 4; Change: -4)

7. Emma Homfeldt - Calvary Lutheran (Previous: 6; Change: -1)

6. Anna Carter - St. Joseph Christian (Previous: 14; Change: +8)

5. Emma Derr - Mound City (Previous: 12; Change: +7)

4. Lexi Elmore - West Platte (Previous: 3; Change: -1)

3. Audrey Maggart - St. Joseph Christian (Previous: 5; Change: +2)

Maggart is slowly creeping back up the rankings after starting out the season moving backwards. She is now #3 after a great race at Rock Port.

2. Alexis Workman - Summit Preparatory School (Previous: 2; Change: 0)

She's gone backwards in time since her big debut at SWCCCA (20:23), but her 21:59 on the state course was a good indication of what she could be capable of come November. She would've been 16th at last year's state meet with that time.

1. Ashley Riley - South Nodaway (Platte Valley) (Previous: 1; Change: 0)

Another easy decision at the moment was made easier when Ashley Riley rolled to a huge victory at the Rock Port Invitational. Her 19:18 victory was decisive and beat a number of girls that you have already found on these rankings, including the #3 on our list. Riley is over a minute ahead of the next fastest girl in Class 1 at the moment.

Team

5. Salisbury (Previous: 4; Change: -1)

4. Lutheran Kansas City (Previous: 5; Change: +1)

3. Hermitage (Previous: 2; Change: -1)

2. St. Joseph Christian (Previous: 3; Change: +1)

Their 2 low sticks push St. Joseph Christian into a power position in Class 1. Not only have they leaped into the #2 spot, but they are now closing in on our #1. The depth is hurting them just a bit and a #5 who is just barely under 25:00 will only get the job done when your top 3 are all under 19:30 (see: 2016 Summit Prep). We shall see if they can keep the good times rolling as we enter conference/district time.

1. New Haven (Previous: 1; Change: 0)

The Shamrocks are still a clear favorite in Class 1, but there are a few teams closing in on them. After shooting out to a quick start, they have not done as much movement as the other teams on our list and could be in danger if they do not make the same moves. We know the McIntyre sisters have more in them. Once Julia, especially, starts to put it together, we see New Haven as potentially unbeatable in Class 1.
