Evan Smith, Autumn Alden are C1 D4 Winners as Liberal Sweeps Both Divisions
Like their Class 2 counterparts at Clever on Saturday, Liberal mirrored Lamar's sweep in Class 1 District 4. While they were unable to field the individual winners, the Bulldogs were still able to secure healthy victories over School of the Ozarks on the girls and a huge victory over Wheaton on the boys side. Autumn Alden of SOTO held off Blue Eye's Olivia LaBrier for the individual title while individual state title contender Evan Smith from Chadwick rolled an impressive 16:38 for the 41 second victory. He is now the second fastest Class 1 boy and will be looking to give Easton Sabala a run for his money on Saturday. He beat out freshman Hunter Hinds from Jasper.
