1. Allie Gibbs - Steelville

It appears that Allie Gibbs is poised to end Brianna Haller's state title streak, but nothing is set in stone just yet. While Gibbs is over 1:30 faster than Haller on the season, their most recent head-to-head matchup was much closer than their first one. After letting her go from the start on 9/30 at the state course preview, she should make it more interesting this time as she looks for title #4. Nine of our top fifteen girls are from Fatima, North Callaway, or Holden.

Teams (projected points)

5. College Heights Christian (145)

4. Holden (135)

3. Bowling Green (110)

2. North Callaway (103)

1. Fatima (50)

It is 29-43 Fatima to North Callaway through 4, but when your 5 is near the back and the other team's 5 is also all-state, that is where the separation takes root. Fatima has been the clear favorite all season and should be the winners on Saturday fairly easily. After them, it is a tight race for the other 3 spots with North Callaway, Holden, Bowling Green, and even College Heights Christian being fairly close to each other. College Heights Christian made it out of their district meet even without top-20 talent Grace Bishop so we think they are a top-5 team with her. Without Bishop, Lamar, St. Michael, and Lawson are all close on the bubble.
