The senior class in Missouri is loaded this year, especially at the top with future Division I runners in Elyse Wilmes and Kayleigh Norris. The duo each have run sub 18-minute times for 5,000 meters and are the top runners in each of their respective classes from last year, while this year's class announcements won't be released for a few weeks.
Wilmes (pictured above), from Father Tolton Regional Catholic in Columbia, is one of two Trailblazers in the top 10 on the seniors returners performance list, joined by Madison Taylor (Tolton Catholic).
The top 10 is a mix of runners from across much of the state. Four hail from the Kansas City area, two from Mid-Missouri, two from St. Louis, and one each from Southeast Missouri and Southwest Missouri. Also of note, six of the top 10 times came during the Class 5 championship last November in Columbia.
