Predicting 2025 MO TF Class and District Alignments

Class 2

Class 2 will look relatively similar to 2024, but there are a couple of important teams moving in to shake up the rankings. Sumner in St. Louis experienced a bump in enrollment and appears to form up the top of the Class with their 246 number while Maysville forms up the bottom with their 119 number.

Teams moving into Class 2 include: Hermann, Hogan Prep Academy Charter, Lexington, St. Louis Metro, Kelly, and Crane.

The private schools included in Class 2 based on the Championship factor are: Valle Catholic (boys and girls) and School of the Ozarks (boys).

District 1

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

Another classic Southeastern Missouri should provide no surprises this year as it spans from Fetus all the way down to the bootheel once again in 2025. Top athletes include: Kamirion Wiley, Matthew Waltman, Connor Marcum, Tristin Moncrief, Carter McCabe, Carter Burger, Skyler Still, Zoie Bradley, Margaret Wrigley, and Blaire Riley.

District 2

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

Like its Class 3 counterpart, Class 2 District 2 is dominated by St. Louis City and County schools, but does travel out to St. Charles County and up to Lincoln County for a couple of teams. Like Class 3 District 3, by the nature of the draw, there will be a much larger than normal discrepancy between boys and girls teams in this one. Top athletes in this district include: Demeterius Thompson, Genesis Garner, Catherine Wakeland, and Elena Ruble

District 3

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

As we move north and west, District 3 forms. This is a classic northeastern corridor with several schools close to the Illinois and Iowa borders, though the group extends all the way out to Brookfield and Milan in the west. Top athletes in this district include: Daunte White, Gabriel Bowen, Emma Wortman, Ella Moss, Callie McWilliams, and Timia Reinberg.

District 4

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

Sectional 2 is an interesting one that cuts down the middle of the State. District 3 ranges as far north as Clark, Putnam, and Scotland County, and District 4 goes all the way down to Crocker, encompassing about 220 miles north and south. District 4 itself is centrally located with Fayette forming up the northern and western border. Bourbon and Steelville sit the farthest to the east. Top athletes include: Cameron Brown, Carter Vroman, Reece Pahl, Browyn Eubanks, and Aubrey Rehmert.

District 5

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

District 5 is a district notorious for occupying South-Central Missouri. This year is not different for the district that spans from Dixon in the north all the way down to the Arkansas border and is flanked by School of the Ozarks (boys) to the west and Van Buren to the east. The only athlete in this district who meets the MileSplit US Second Team standard is Sparta's Penelope Hansen in the shot Put.

District 6

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

To no one's surprise, we expect District 6 to comprise of all of the Class 2 schools south and west of Springfield, including a couple of schools in and around Springfield. Brandon Garner-Sims is the only athlete in this district who meets the MileSplit US Second Team standard. Four-time track all-stater and this year's Class 2 cross country runner-up Clara Trent is pictured above.

--

District 7

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

District 7 occupies much of the West-Central portion of the state, moving from Osceola and Skyline in the south up to Smithon and Tipton in the Northeast and the southern/central Kansas City area in the Northwest. Top athletes from this district include: Christian Davis, Mason Rusow, Bryson Jacobs, Mollie Andrews, Tandee Hiser, and Kylee Dubray.

--

District 8

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

Once again to no one's surprise, District 8 will take up the Northwest corridor and play host to much of the state's best Class 2 competition. Lexington and Lafayette County are southern border outliers with most of the schools residing starting in Platte County and heading up through Buchanan County. Top athletes here include: August Hill, Seth Spencer, Trey Johnson, Lindsay Ramsey, Teagan Ford, Rilyn Sherwood, Elena Williams, and Brooklynn Johnson.
