Predicting 2024 MO TF Class and District Alignments

Class 3

Class 3 gets a facelift with at least one major player moving in to shake up the state rankings on both the boys and the girls sides.

This class will feature 100 girls teams and 99 boys teams. St. Clair appears to be the new top of the enrollment chart with their 507 posted number and Trenton shares the cutoff with the Lone Jack/Kingsville co-op of 250. The 2.0 differential boundary is pushed to its limit in Class 3, as with most years.

Teams moving down into Class 3 based on enrollment include St. Clair, Moberly, Helias Catholic, and Reeds Spring. Teams moving up to Class 3 based on enrollment include the Lone Jack/Kingsville co-op, Lexington, and KIPP KC Legacy. Teams moving in or staying in Class 3 based on the Championship Factor include John Burroughs (boys), Notre Dame Cape Girardeau (girls), Principia (boys), Lutheran North (boys), Whitfield (boys), and College Heights Christian (girls). Crossroads Prep Charter has added a new track and field program for the 2024 season and will start out in Class 3.

District 1

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

Class 3 District 1 takes its rightful place in Southeast Missouri, featuring teams up and down the Mississippi River from Kennett in the Boot Heel all the way up to Ste. Genevieve. Teams as far west as Doniphan and Arcadia Valley are included. This year, a handful of St. Louis County schools sneak in with Bayless, Hancock, and Lutheran South getting the District 1 nod.

Featured athletes include William Gaines-Parker, Jacob Brown, Nathaniel Wright, Anistin Kyle, Sam Vaughn, Ja'Kwon Jones, Kannon Harlow, Christiaan Wirz, Jacob Moreland, Paul Taylor, Luke Emmons, Kevin Thompson, Kale Clements, Lauren Eftink, Reese Schelp, Lily Carr, Macye Maness, Grace Prange, Abigail Spooler, Alissa Grass, and Emma Duenne.

District 2

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

With a lot of St. Louis City and County schools residing in Class 3, particularly several private schools, District 2 will have the most schools represented of any Class 3 district. Featured athletes include Dierre Hill, Dorian Phillips, Michael Clark, Antonio Strong, Jaydon Marley, Alexander Doty, Ted Spetnagel, Charles Glatz, Joshua Guyton, David Goldstein, Jacobi Green, Leah Macon-Ford, TaMari Allen, Madison Boyd, Lucy Luetkemeyer, Yuri Malone, Ava Tobias, Chloe Hutchinson, and Kamari Brown.

District 3

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

District 3 features primarily schools from St. Charles County up through the northeastern part of the state, with a handful of Central Missouri schools included in the mix. Helias moves down and into District 3 as the western-most school. Borgia forms up the southern border in Washington. Even STEAM Academy at McCluer South-Berkeley sneaks in, making this one of the most expansive districts in the state in Class 3.

Featured athletes include Martel Coleman, Jason Williams, Navon Moreland-Bell, Matthew Malmstrom, Jacer Brower, Rohan Holiman, Ben Chance, Matthew Hyde, Koen Zeltmann, Cayden Dunn, Bleyne Bryant, Bailey Riley, Tyler Erwin, Jace Eskew, Carson Hicks, Caelan Harland, Evan Pennewell, Kyle Cotton, Weston Marshall, Hunter Smith, Isabelle Struemph, Lydia Clubb, Shelby Lewis, Malia Rodgers, Brianna Krueger, Jersy Nelke, Elizabeth Riggs, Bella Jones, Chloe Hicks, Ateshia Turner, Isabel Reinebach, Alaina Loman, and Candra King

District 4

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

District 4 is another fairly expansive district that primarily lies in the central part of the state. We are predicting quite a bit of movement between districts 3, 4, and 5 this year as the central location of District 4 migrates further west than normal. North Callaway and Owensville form the eastern border with Boonville and Versailles forming the western border (Versailles being a team moving in from District 7). Eldon also moves in from District 7 and St. Clair moves in from Class 4, along with Moberly, which are two reasons why there may be so much movement.

Featured athletes include Andrew Beanland, Tyler Kloeppel, Nathan Reynolds, Brian Burns, Will Richardson, Caleb Duncan, Noah Arndt, Ayden Bryant, Tomas Gonzalez, Easton Haslag, Aiden McDaniel, Isiah Craighead, Emma Daniels, Marissa Austene, Zoe Martonfi, Alexandra Volkart, Ilene Limberg, Effie Morris, Zoey Hannam, Kylee Richey, Bryleigh Knox, and Taylor Martin

District 5

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

District 5 also migrates further west and focuses more in the south-central and southwest part of the state. It stretches from Cuba and St. James in the north and east all the way to Springfield Catholic in the west. Buffalo is the northern-most school on the western side of the group.

Featured athletes include Kaiden Snyder, Canyon Crowley, Gavin Brock, Silas Morton, Brody Rutledge, Carter Pruett, Seth Hardison, Jozey Sharp-MacPherson, Raylee Stenzel, Kailyn Wake, and Kinzie Tomey

District 6

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

With so many Class 3 schools in the southwestern part of the state, District 6 occupies primarily the southwestern corner. El Dorado Springs to the north slips in because of its western proximity, but otherwise, the rest of the schools reside south of Lamar and west of Springfield. Hollister is the southern-most team.

Featured athletes include Ian Ngugi, Chase Sorrell, Sinry Mendoza, James Dowdy, Triston Switzer, Trace Wooldridge, Jose Ibarra, Eden Enlow, Jesson Morales, Skyte Wilson, Jayleign Flood, Cambry Long, McKinli Mays, Katherine Schaefer, Leah Kenney, Chloe Smith, Makena Hall, Kylie Fitzwater, Maliya Clark, Valerie Cowles, Briley Wishard, and Isabella Renfro.

District 7

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

District 7 will occupy the Kansas City area primarily, pulling in several schools down the Highway 70 corridor and into the city this time around. The westernmost and southernmost school should be Knob Noster after it stretched as far as Eldon and Osage last year.

Featured athletes include Adam Salem-Atia, Dariyan Reaves, Micah Rivera, Tyler Zink, Johnny Joyce, Masyn Powell, Cole Zillner, Damario Moss, Mason McGrath, Alexis Kinney, Emerson Shelton, Adalyn Campbell, Elsa Henry, and Kia Harmon.

District 8

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

As usual, District 8 takes in the northwestern part of the state, with several northern Kansas City schools in the mix. It is much less concentrated in the corner of the state than others as Chillicothe and Trenton will still have to make the trip west to meet with the rest of their District 8 counterparts and Maryville will have to make the trip south, assuming they don't host.

Featured athletes include Sit Abdalle, Max Stephan, Bradley Deering, Connor Blackford, Cain Evans, Elnailo Mushatt, Blaize Vaughn, Carson Sterling, Silas Midgyett, Kaylee Pugh, Ja'Princia McDonald, Lauren Waldron, Kayanna Cranmer, Bailey Robinson, Aryn Lanier-Collier, Brylee Acklin, Addison Shay, Kaylee King, Anna Pfaff, Kamryn Florea, Sadie Midgyett, Ava Dumke, and Mary Moore
