Predicting 2024 MO TF Class and District Alignments

Class 2

Class 2 will look different on the girls side, in particular, as distance powerhouse Father Tolton moves out after one year of dominance. Defending champions North Platte are still in the mix, though. The boys side will also see defending champion Summit Christian moving out, giving Charleston a clearer path to an outright title this time around.

This class features 116 boys teams and 113 girls teams, with Missouri Military Academy's 248 being the top enrollment for the boys and Hermann's 243 being the top number for the girls. The 2.0 differential plays a major role in the bottom of the class here, as well, and the bottom enrollment number appears to be 122, owned by both Vienna and Blue Eye.

Teams moving down into Class 2 based on enrollment include Hermann, Kelly, Clark County, East Prairie, Rosati-Kain, and Whitfield. Teams moving up to Class 2 based on enrollment include Vienna, Bismarck, and Marion C. Early. Teams moving into or staying in Class 2 based on Championship Factor include Valle Catholic, School of the Ozarks (boys), Lutheran Kansas City (boys), and Calvary Lutheran (boys). Kairos Charter School in St. Louis is a new program this season which will start out in Class 2.

District 1

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

District 1 is once again in the southeastern section of the state. Jefferson Festus forms up the northernmost border of the state, with Grandview and St. Pius X forming up the southern border of District 2. It runs all the way down to Caruthersville in the Boot Heel and Clearwater forms up the western border.

It's a loaded district with featured athletes like Jermonte Alexander, Kamirion Wiley, Brandon Jackson, Zecobyion Ewing, Brandon Burford, William Kuehn, Joshua Fallert, Reed Layton, Calvin Layton, Ethan Graham, Zachyran Thomas, Connor Marcum, Patrick Farmer, Tristin Moncrief, Ben Embry, Triston Cowell, Carter McCabe, Skyler Still, Blake Yarbro, Charles David, Angela Dobbins, Margaret Wrigley, Jamya Buttrom, Antwanasia Bloniarz-Smoot, Ava Bauman, Madelyn Griffard, Emerson Selsor, Abigail Haley, and Blaire Riley.

District 2

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

District 2 may look slightly different than last year as it may not span as far west as it usually does. Hermann and Missouri Military Academy still makes for a wide western border, with several schools in St. Louis City/County and St. Charles County, plus a few as far as north as Elsberry and as far as south as Grandview Hillsboro and St. Pius X Festus.

District 3

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

District 3 occupies the Northeastern and North-central parts of the state, spanning from the Illinois border in the east all the way up to Clark County, who moves back down from Class 3, all the way down to Principia (girls) and Whitfield (girls) in West St. Louis County. The western border is formed up by Brookfield, Marceline, and Salisbury.

Featured athletes include Kaden Hamner, Sam Northcutt, Noah Wilt, Gage Woolen, Caleb Stallo, Jamal Blackwell, Alex Dzierwa, Cooper Francis, Samuel Harlan, Bridger Grimshaw, Carter Vroman, Gabe Bowen, Brady Hollmann, Clint Chamley, Kendal Hammond, Joshua Walkup, Browyn Eubanks, Kylin King, Samantha Sharp, Audri Youngblood, Emma Wortman, Jordan Pedersen, Sofia Eleazarraraz, Callie McWilliams, Ava McKay, Kendra Sperry, Claudia Dixon, Timia Reinberg, and Allison Jenkins

District 4

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

Last year, District 4 occupied a massive space and had some overlap with District 2. Some District 2 teams were actually located further west than some District 4 teams (Calvary Lutheran, Linn, Belle), even though District 2 spanned all the way to St. Louis. Two teams even looked more comfortable in District 3 (Fayette and Harrisburg). This year, MSHSAA may still have to move some teams around to make the map look messy again, mostly because of the championship factor and as a result, District 4 may still look somewhat weird. Harrisburg forms up the northern border with Fayette moving into District 3 in our projections. Dixon and Crocker still form up that southern border, with Cole Camp marking the westernmost school and New Bloomfield and South Callaway forming a weird barrier to Calvary Lutheran who we have in District 3 (though they could end up in District 4 and just throw off the numbers in District 3). Either way, District 4 is a tough one to project, but we did our best.

Featured athletes include: Reid Harrison, Hunter Cole, Hayven Samuels, Ryder Belt, Trace Combs, Clayton Parker, Ben Speaks, Sean Faulkner, Colten Crocker, Joseph Bjornstead, Caden Bohnert, Gavin Schwartze, Nathan Russell, Grant Smith, Reece Pahl, Marilyn Hesse, Chevie Sharpe, Montgomery Keck, Clara Williams, Myah Briggs, Addy Abell, Emma Fischer, Adara Langatau, Aubrey Rehmert, and Addyson Werdehausen.

District 5

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

District 5 occupies Southwest/South-Central Missouri with schools as far west as School of the Ozarks and Sparta and as far as east as Alton. Alton really is an outlier that will have to be away from the rest of the teams if they landed in District 1 or District 5, much like West Plains often is in Class 4. Licking and Cabool are the next closest teams to Alton.

Featured athletes include: Elijah Judd, Dominick Zaffos, Nolyn Corder, Brett Payne, Rydan Deckard, Si Martin, Cameron Brown, Caleb Widner, Oscar Phillips, Shadrach Thompson, Titus Nolie, Briannna DeSpain, Dorothea Gantert, Finley Sullins, Elaina Swisloski, and Jadyn Barnes.

District 6

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

District 6 should pull in the schools south of the southernmost school in District 7 (Butler) and from Springfield west. New Covenant Academy moves in along with Spokane and Pleasant Hope to form up that eastern border. Last year, those three schools formed up the western border of District 5.

Featured athletes include: Landon Duchscherer, Robert Humphries, Zachary Roughton, Austin Beaty, Caleb Quade, Noah Garrison, Crystal Smith, Ariel Wilson, Emma Hunt, Clara Trent, Sydney Bryan, Sara Witt, and Serenity Greathouse.

District 7

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

District 7 includes several schools in Kansas City, but has been known to stretch all the way down to Butler in the south. This year appears to be no different. Windsor should be the eastern most school, nearly 85 miles away from Barstow in the west.

Featured athletes include: Samuel Jones, Mason Rusow, David Reimer, Connor Bailey, Dylan Davidson, Colton Miller, Briar McIntire, Jayse Sharif, Landon Ashworth, William Snider, Luke Mainard, Hank Tenholder, Kadence Wallace, Madison Moody, Mollie Andrews, Sadie McCulloh, Aubrey McCulloh, Zoey Hrabe, Ashlen Garrett, and Aaliyah Lee

District 8

Virtual Meet: Boys | Girls

Class 2 District 8 is one of the most stacked with talent districts in the entire state, with by far the most top-10 ranked athletes in Class 2, especially on the girls side. Like the other classes, it should occupy the northwestern most corner of the state, spanning Harrison, Platte, Buchanan, and Dekalb counties. St. Paul Concordia forms the southern border along with Lafayette County High School.

Featured athletes include: August Hill, Corbin Britting, Jonah McGivern, Tyson Lile, Aidan Hensley, Jonathan Eckstein, Noah Heckman, Shakor George, Trevor Klein, Coen Rainsbarger, Chase Meers, Jesse WilliamsLindsay Ramsey, Sam Baker, Avery Holmes, Brianna DeBord, Hailey Linebach, Chloe Heckman, Kortney Witherow, Kylee Cannon, Lauren Kennon, Abbey Henry, Rilyn Sherwood, Taylor Pierson, Isabella Parra, Addison Bailey, Elena Williams, Letecia Howard, Avery Patton, Kyana Huseynov, Brooklynn Johnson, Kinsley Patton, Autum Nichols, and Laney Wilmes.
